Explore Beyond – Wedding Cards

Welcome, dear friends! If you follow my blog you could have seen that these days I was often making some wedding cards. I had some orders and a wedding in the family so it was time for me to do some wedding cards. And, with some Spellbinders Dies, that was really fun and easy. Today I decided to show how you can have fun and make a beautiful and special card with these amazing Spellbinders Dies.
First I made a box. Before scoring and gluing, I ran the top through my Grand Calibur with two dies from Radiant Rectangles set.
IMG_8376After that I played some more with the rest of the set and created a matching card. At the end I used the smallest die in Petite Ovals Large Set. I love when you can do so many things with just one set. And, when you can match and work on the same project with some other Spellbinders Dies, that is just terrific. What I really love with this set is that it is easy to use. With just one set and some paper, you can make a stunning project in just a couple of minutes. Here are some basic steps on how I made all those layers for the card.
IMG_8383 IMG_8385 IMG_8393 IMG_8395 IMG_8408And at the end let me show you some photos of the final project. The card is all white, with many layers and I believe the project really shows the beauty of the die.

Today I was just playing around trying to get my mojo back. I made two wedding cards. For the first one I used Textures of Nature Challenge using this beautiful embossing folder with some new Spellbinders Dies.

A Wedding Card

Hello, hello! I finally finished a project for a dear friend and decided to share it with you too. It is a wedding card with a matching box. I used just one die set – Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles together with some pink ribbon and my Croatian stamps.
IMG_8228 IMG_8230 IMG_8237 IMG_8242Well, I hope you like this one. At the end I decided to share a couple of simple instructions on how I made the card.
IMG_8244 IMG_8247 IMG_82501. To cut the base of the card use just one die (first photo) and cut two pieces of paper.
2. To cut the frame at the front of the card use all three dies (second photo).
3. To cut the little frame at the front of the card use last two dies (third photo).

Time to relax

Yesterday I made this gift (a frame with a matching card). I needed some time off. Again, so many beautiful and bad things are happening to me at the same time. I feel like I am on a roller-coaster. Anyway, it is time to stop being sad and to share the project with you. :)
So, here is the card. A simple one with this fun flower I have made using Foliage Spellbinders die.
IMG_8136For the frame I used one Penny Black stamp of a butterfly.
IMG_8160 IMG_8169And here is the whole project.
IMG_8153I hope you like it and that you have enjoyed your short stay here.

Exploring Beyond

These days I was working really hard on several projects and when I got the opportunity to share something on the new Spellbinders Blog called Explore Beyond, for a long time I was not totally sure what to make. First I wanted to make a tutorial, but since I am renovating some parts of our house, I realized it would be fun to make several random home decor projects. So, here are some of the things I made for my home these days using Spellbinders products.
Right when everything was blooming outside I was thinking how can I bring some of these beautiful flowers into my home? I decided to make a jar with flowers. I used this regular cord instead of real branches and made a couple of felt flowers using Spellbinders Die (Bauble Blossoms Two). In the middle of the jar I placed this lovely candle that has such a nice fragrance.
IMG_7920 IMG_7923The second thing which I made that we desperately needed was the name plate on our door. I made it using some Foliage Dies and thin copper which I passed through the Artisan.
IMG_7907 IMG_7910At the end I will show you this simple decorated frame I made for myself. I love this color combination and yes, I really love flowers. It is a Bible verse (in the Croatian language) from The Epistle to the Hebrews. In the past several days I was really feeling down and I needed some encouragement. While I read the Bible with a friend of mine, I came across this verse. It was like I saw it for the first time in my Bible and that was just the verse I needed. For this project I used Foliage Dies, Classic Scalloped Circles and Lacey Circles.
IMG_7934 IMG_7932So, I hope you like these home decor ideas and that they inspired you to do something similar. Thank you for stopping by!

These days I am super busy. I am finishing some orders, making some special projects and meeting with some dear friends. And all that after my full time job. But, I have to admit I am enjoying myself (except the lack of sleep, that part is never fun). Anyway, today I am sharing two of my cards inspired by some challenges, and tomorrow I have a very special post, so do not hesitate to stop by.
