Hi everyone! It is time for our TO Challenge #55. I played with my new stamps to create this set of cards.
Our theme is ‘Celebrations with optional twist of die cutting/fussy cutting’ and our sponsor is CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.
I have decided to play a bit and create two different backgrounds with these stamps. It was super fun and relaxing.
I love those stamps that have many different parts so you can use it in so many different ways. If you are here often, you know that I love to make my own patterned papers and these stamps are just perfect for this.

I have enjoyed this challenge since I love to cut. Taking a great amount of my dies and different patterned papers, and combining them all together was really fun. I wanted to add some stitching since I love that a lot, but my sewing machine decided it is time to take a rest. A long rest. This time the machine is really done. Somehow I said my goodbye. I know the thing is old and it was recently broken. Then I found out that this type of sewing machine is no longer available in the stores and it can’t be fixed. Anyway, I hope you like it and I hope it will inspire you to crate something fun.

Hello everyone! I do not know if you realised but I have skipped TO#52. The past several weeks were culmination of my hard time. In the past year there were so many changes, deaths and sickness around me that I realised it all started to be to much for me. On top of that, we have a foster-kid that happens to know when to press all the right buttons. It was one of those days when you know that God is good and loves you but you just do not have the joy and strength to continue. I struggled so much that an idea of giving all my craft supplies came to my mind. 😀 I had no desire to create anything. And then, two days ago, after taking some free time from so many things I do daily, I took a moment before going to bed and wanted to see if I can make a card.
My assignment was to create a card inspired by these words:
‘A woman is like a tea bag – you can’t tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water’ by Eleanor Roosevelt.
How fitting, wouldn’t you tell? I wanted to create something vintage looking, with soft colours and layers. Somehow this project gives hope that a creative and productive time is ahead.

Dear friends, I hope you enjoyed or perhaps you are still enjoying this beautiful time of the year. We finally have snow here, and me and my two guys enjoyed this great time with friends and family. I even got my sewing machine fixed to a certain point so I can enjoy some more crafting with it. The only thing I sew with it are my cards and I love it. Here is my first card in this year made for TO Challenge #47.
Our theme is: Birthdays with the optional Technique Twist of adding sponging (I did that to my butterfly).
