What a great weekend – part two

Today I will share with you all about the greatest Sunday ever. We were in a need of some relaxing and spending time in the open, so my hubby decided that we will go to a small town called Petrinja. There live a bunch of people that just love to be outdoors and love to gather and eat all that one can find on a meadow or in the forest. You can check their Facebook page or their web page. And if you ever want to learn something about herbs one can find in Croatia (and eat too), just let them know and they will organize a great workshop (and you will not leave hungry, trust me). ๐Ÿ˜‰
Anyway, here are some photos of the things we saw, i.e. ate.

IMG_3042aAt the very end the instructors made some tee from the herbs we gathered, and we also had some snacks. Everything had in it herbs you can find outdoors.
IMG_3048aI was especially excited by the fact that you can eat violets. The salad swept me of my feet.

  1. Caroline Thornton says:

You make me want to catch a flight today! Here in the southeastern US (North Carolina) it has been a cold and wet winter. This sounds like a wonderful day!

    1. Well, if you decide to come… our home is always open for you. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I gained my bachelors degree from a school in NC, and now I work for a company from NC… it is a small world. ๐Ÿ™‚ Hugs and kisses from Croatia!
